The College provides training about key health and safety risks encountered in the workplace and how those risks can be managed in a pragmatic way. It also raises awareness of the key roles and responsibilities of those that are responsible for managing or supervising others safely.

Who are the courses aimed at?

IOSH courses are aimed at employees and managers who don’t have specific responsibility for health and safety or are working in a lower-risk industry.

Funding Options for Health and Safety Training?

The Flexible Workforce Development Fund (FWDF), launched by the Scottish Government in September 2017, provides £10m of training to employers in Scotland who have been subject to the Apprenticeship Levy.  The aim of the fund is to provide eligible employers with workforce development training to up-skill and re-skill their existing workforce.
