SCOTTISH APPRENTICESHIP WEEK 2019
4th - 8th March 2019
City of Glasgow College currently delivers almost 600 apprenticeships across key industry sectors. These include hairdressing and barbering, procurement, creative and cultural skills, digital and ICT, health and social care as well as maritime deck ratings and engine ratings.
The majority of the Modern Apprenticeships contain an element of on and off-the-job training and assessment resulting in industry-recognised qualifications and practical workplace skills.
At the college we currently employ 6 Modern Apprentices working towards SCQF Level 5 & 6 in Business Admin:-
- Stephanie Crum - working in Student Records has now progressed to SCQF Level 6 Business Admin.
- Freya Murphy - working in Reception and also progressed to SCQF Level 6 Business Admin.
- Edward Moffat - working in Schools Liaison.
- Demi Inglis - working in Corporate Development.
- Sophie McConville - working in WorldSkills.
- Katie Frame - working in Events.
We have a further 2 Modern Apprentices employed across the college:-
- Chloe Anderson is working in our hair salon Amethyst and studying towards an SCQF Level 5 in Hairdressing.
- Amie McCrudden is working with our Procurement team and studying towards an SCQF Level 6 Procurement.
