Update on St Luke’s Student Residence 

City of Glasgow College has recently been informed that the owner of St Luke’s Residence has decided to end the current lease agreement with the College, with the agreement concluding on 30 July 2026. 

While this decision has been initiated by the property owner and is therefore outside the College’s control, we recognise that this news may cause concern for students currently living in St Luke’s or those expecting to stay there during their studies. 

The College is working closely with affected students and their sponsoring companies to ensure that appropriate accommodation arrangements remain in place and that any transition is managed as smoothly as possible. 

Students who hold an active lease beyond 30 July 2026 will be offered the option to transfer to Riverside Accommodation, located at the College’s Riverside Campus, or to end their lease and make alternative accommodation arrangements if they prefer. The College’s Accommodation Team will support students throughout this process. 

We understand that many of our nautical cadets spend extended periods at sea or away from campus, and we are committed to ensuring that all students receive clear information and appropriate support.

Riverside Accommodation 

Riverside Accommodation is located at City of Glasgow College’s Riverside Campus, the UK’s leading maritime training facility. The residence provides modern student accommodation within easy reach of teaching facilities, transport links and local amenities. 

Students who choose to transfer will continue to receive accommodation arranged through the College, and the Accommodation Team will work directly with residents to ensure that the transition from St Luke’s is managed as smoothly as possible. 

If students wish to move to Riverside before 30 July 2026, the College will honour the current St Luke’s rental rate.
