City of Glasgow College is a proud and committed supporter of the Defence community.
In addition to over 2000 courses, many of which are eligible for ELCAS funding, whether you are preparing to leave the Services or simply looking to upskill yourself whilst serving, the College is here to help. It maintains an active Armed Forces Network, and should you have any queries, the network will be delighted to assist.
In addition to being a registered ELCAS provider, the college has full time students from both the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary within its Nautical and STEM Faculty.
Use our Course Search to find the perfect course to invest in yourself. Our full time courses start in August each year but we have evening and part time professional courses running throughout the year.

City of Glasgow College has proudly received the Gold Award from the Ministry of Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) – the highest honour available to UK organisations that demonstrate outstanding support for the Armed Forces community.
The award was officially presented in a prestigious ceremony held in the Great Hall at Edinburgh Castle. His Grace the Duke of Hamilton presented the accolade to Principal and Chief Executive Paul Little CBE and Charandeep Singh BEM, Member of the Board of Management at City of Glasgow College, in recognition of the College’s exceptional commitment to Reservists, Service leavers, Veterans, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers, and their families.
