Isabelle Law, from the Isle of Skye graduated last year with a BA (Hons) in Photography.
Isabelle’s photographic talent has already earned her national and international recognition. Her images have won the prestigious Portrait of Britain award in both 2023 and 2024, she was shortlisted for the Scottish Portrait Award 2023, and her work was a finalist in the Photo North Festival in professional categories. Beyond academic accolades, Isabelle has self-funded and volunteered with NGOs across the globe, documenting challenging projects such as The HALO Trust’s landmine clearance in Sri Lanka.
Isabelle said, “I would not be where I am without my amazing tutors, especially John Carberry and Iain Smart, who encouraged and supported me every step of the way, and to all the people I met along the journey.”
Isabelle’s work demonstrates a profound commitment to storytelling through photography, capturing powerful human and environmental narratives worldwide. Her graduation marks the culmination of a remarkable academic and professional journey, one that has already left a significant impact on the field of photography.
