Our fashion and retail courses introduce you to the business side of retail fashion. You'll explore aspects of branding, marketing, retail buying, merchandising and display.  

As well as nurturing your entrepreneurial skills and providing you with the knowledge to help set up your own business, you will also learn how to enhance those skills and competencies that are required for the fashion and retail industry. These include how to attract customers and maximise profitability in the retail sector as well as market research and forecasting.

You'll have the chance to create, design and implement your own fashion event, or show, to gain the relevant experience and skills.

Full-time Fashion Courses

  • Three National 5 qualifications at Grade C or above in relevant subjects (e.g., Art, English, Business, Fashion & Textiles, Administration, or Science); OR
  • Other equivalent qualifications or relevant industry experience.
  • Attendance at a group and/or individual interview may be required.
HND Fashion Business SCQF Level 8 (Higher National Diploma) 2 Years (Full-time) City Campus
  • One Higher at Grade C or above in a relevant subject*; OR
  • NC or NQ qualification at SCQF Level 6 in a relevant business subject; OR
  • Other equivalent qualifications or relevant industry experience.
  • Attendance at a group and/or individual interview may be required.
  • *Relevant Subjects ( English, Business, Economics, History, Mathematics, Media, a science subject)
