With over four decades of experience in the college sector, Carla leads the College’s commercial and international strategy, innovation portfolio, and transformational projects aligned to Scotland’s economic and skills ambitions.

Carla leads the development of strategic growth initiatives, including the expansion of sector-aligned training to enhance learner experience and industry engagement. She also oversees the College’s international strategy, fostering global partnerships that strengthen the institution’s reputation and support Scotland’s position in the international education landscape.

As Chair of the International College Development Network Committee, Carla represents the college sector on Connected Scotland and is a member of the Scottish Government’s International Education Governance Group. She is committed to unlocking inclusive growth, supporting regional and national priorities, and advancing the College’s vision as Scotland’s Polytechnic.

Jacqui is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of commercial and employer-related activity which supports employers locally, nationally and internationally in reskilling and upskilling their workforce.  With over 20 years’ experience in Business Development Jacqui has managed a wide range of commercial and public-funded projects in training delivery and curriculum development.

Hugh leads the Business Development team, looking at new business opportunities for the college, developing and expanding our training course portfolio and building long-term relationships with clients and prospects. Hugh has over 25 years' experience in Account Management and Business Development including a career in BT PLC looking after clients like National Australia Group, Visa International and Standard Life. More recently Hugh has worked for a number of software companies and joined the College from Edinburgh University where he was Business Development Manager for a Science Faculty spin-out start-up.

Kerry has worked in account management client-facing roles in the education/training sector for over 15 years supporting clients such as MoD, MOJ and Tesco.

Having worked for a private training provider and as Scotland Business Manager for City and Guilds, Kerry has extensive experience in both account management and business development across both the UK and International markets. Kerry is delighted to help customers and businesses secure their perfect training requirements, but this time from within the college environment.

Dhiann has recently joined our team as a Business Development Officer, supporting external clients and faculty. Working collaboratively with industry, Dhiann will be working with the Creative Industries faculty to develop training programmes and new opportunities. With an education in Music and Business, Dhiann has previously worked within vocational Fashion colleges. She has worked with several High Street brands such as Zara, Tesco and H&M as well as independent designers such as Serge DeNimes and Sewn Right. More recently, Dhiann has worked within the 3rd sector, supporting Social Enterprises across Scotland.

As a Business Development Officer, Sharon engages with organisations and the faculties to promote the college and the wide range of professional & tailored programmes they have available to suit both individuals and organisations. Sharon has been with the College since 2006 working in various areas including Student Records and Commercial Short Course Admissions. Previously Sharon has worked in both Sales and Administrative roles.

Sharon is part of the City of Glasgow College Alumni completing Higher National Qualifications in both Computing and Business.

Jill joined our Business Development team after working for almost 30 years media sales, account management and business development. Prior to this, Jill was a student in Hospitality Management at Glasgow College of Food Technology working in the industry before a change in direction into newspapers, TV and agency sales where she worked with clients across the events, travel and hospitality sectors including Live Nation, MacDonald Hotels, DF Concerts, Ambassadors Theatre Group, Barrhead Travel.

Jill works collaboratively with her clients and enjoys building strong and lasting relationships to deliver bespoke training courses to support the growth and development of organisations across multiple sectors.

Rachel Reed

Rachel works closely with the Faculty of Nautical and STEM, and all faculties, to develop training programmes that will meet and exceed client expectations. Previously, Rachel has worked in the financial sector as well as property management. Rachel graduated from California State Polytechnic University of Pomona with a BS in Business Administration along with a focus in marketing management.
