Overview

This course will give you a working knowledge of Autodesk Revit by providing hands-on experience. You'll use the software to create a BIM compliant 3D model of a building.  This course has been created in response to the industry’s demand for increased access to entry-level training in Building Information Modelling (BIM) compliant design software.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

  • Prior experience of using AutoCAD, or another Autodesk product is advantageous  - the basic skills required to operate AutoCAD software are part of this course.

What you study

You'll study:

  • How to use Autodesk Revit to create a 3D model of a building that includes its different wall types, doors, windows and roof structure.
  • How to introduce fixtures and fittings to the completed floor plans.
  • How to use your 3D model to create elevations, sections and floor plans.

You could go onto an entry-level position in Building Information Modelling (BIM) compliant design.
