Overview

On this course you'll study the practical and theoretical aspects of Painting and Decorating, which will prepare you for working in the Construction Industry. You'll also develop transferable skills such as numeracy and efficient working practices which will help you to get a job in this field.

You'll receive a National Progression Award in Construction from the Scottish Qualification Authority on the successful completion of this course.  This is a recognised National Qualification in Construction.

This course runs for 6 months from January - June.

This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 5.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry requirements

• One National 4 qualification including English, Mathematics, Science or a Technical subject; OR
• Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

ESOL entry requirements

Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.
