    This course gives you a lively introduction to the areas of digital arts and animation and gives you the chance to develop a strong portfolio of work that will be suitable for applying to a wide range of higher art and design courses. You will be able to develop robust creative drawing, design and animation skills, as well as strengthen your analytical and organisational skills. By so doing you will be able to take the first steps toward an exciting career in the creative sector.

    This course is placed on the Scottish Credit Qualifications Framework at Level 6. 

    On successful completion of the course, you will be awarded an NQ qualification in Computer Art and Animation.

    Entry requirements

    Minimum entry requirements

    • National 5 Art and Design and National 5 English at Grade C or above; OR
    • Other equivalent qualifications or experience.

    ESOL entry requirements

    Applicants whose first language is not English should have minimum SQA ESOL National 5 or equivalent for NC/NQ courses and ESOL Higher or equivalent for HNC/D courses.
