Join us on this wonderful opportunity to (re)discover the German language with a touch of culture.

Whatever your aspirations are - international working relationships, going on holiday and tasting the real Schnitzel, Currywurst with a glass of German Bier, attending Oktoberfest, living or retiring in the country, or just for your own enjoyment this course is ideal for you.

Our classes provide a supportive and encouraging environment where you can learn at your own pace and connect with fellow language enthusiasts. Our experienced language tutors are passionate and will share their dedication to help you flourish in the language. Some cultural elements will also be covered to help you become familiar with the country — whether you’re visiting for a short stay or planning to make it your new home.

Minimum entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements just an enjoyment of learning languages.

What you study

This is a twilight class running on Thursday, 4.30-6.30pm.  Topics will include:

• Introductions and personal information.
• Family and work environments
• Past times, likes and dislikes
• Eating out - food and drink.
• Holiday in the country: travelling around.
• Holiday in the country: shopping & services.

Our classes incorporate games, quizzes, role plays and real-life scenarios to make learning enjoyable and effective.

After the course

Careers

You will be able to apply knowledge and skills learned in class in various contexts including international exchanges, employability, holidays, and better understand customs and cultural aspects of countries in which the language is spoken.
