College Hosts Inspiring Concept Hair Education Roadshow
City of Glasgow College recently hosted the Concept Hair Education Roadshow, delivering a vibrant day of creativity, learning, and industry engagement for Hairdressing and Barbering students.
The event brought together leading brands and professionals, giving students the chance to experiment with colour techniques, explore innovative styling approaches, and gain hands-on experience with the latest products and tools. The atmosphere buzzed with energy as learners embraced new ideas and showcased their creativity.
A highlight of the day was the opportunity for students to network directly with industry experts. These conversations provided valuable insights into current trends, career pathways, and best practices, highlighting the importance of professional connections in shaping successful futures.
The Roadshow formed part of the College’s extra-curricular learning programme, designed to extend education beyond the classroom. By engaging with advanced techniques and creative approaches, students enhanced their practical skills, confidence, and understanding of the dynamic hair and beauty sector.
May Donald, Associate Dean for Hair, Barbering, Beauty, Complementary and Spa Therapies, and Make-Up Artistry, said:
"Events like this are invaluable for our students. They not only learn new techniques but also connect with leading professionals who inspire and guide them. These experiences bridge the gap between education and industry, ensuring our learners are confident and career ready."
The College continues to prioritise real-world experiences like the Concept Hair Education Roadshow, helping students develop the expertise, creativity, and professional networks needed to thrive in the ever-evolving hair and beauty industry.
