Early Education and Child Care

If you're passionate about supporting children, young people and their families, our early education and childhood practice courses could be ideal for you. Our courses continuously evolve with the needs of the sector, ensuring you’ll be kept up to date with the latest practices. You’ll gain professional experience in relevant settings on placement. Our HNC Childhood Practice course is approved by Scottish Social Services Council as a suitable qualification for registration as a Child Development Officer.

Healthcare

By choosing to study our healthcare courses, you’ll gain the skills and knowledge needed for potential career opportunities within the NHS and the care sector, as well as providing a recognised entry qualification for nursing, midwifery or occupational therapy. You'll benefit from learning in our simulation suite, which offers a realistic hospital ward environment. You'll have the opportunity to apply your learning on placement within the NHS as well as in community settings.

Social Care

Our courses are designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills you’ll need for a career in the care sector. You’ll be well prepared for environments such as residential care and nursing care for older adults, resource centres for people with learning disabilities as well as many other care services within the community.

Social Services

On our social services courses you’ll gain the values, skills and knowledge you need to work effectively in a range of care settings. You’ll be taught by teaching staff with professional health and social care experience, and you’ll gain valuable experience on a placement within the care sector. Our HND social services course will prepare you to progress to university to study social work at degree level.
