Summer Graduation

Summer graduation for our nautical students will be held on Thursday 19 June, at 6.15pm at Glasgow Cathedral, Castle St, Glasgow G4 0QZ. 

We look forward to celebrating this special day with our students, family, friends and staff.

Graduation Key Dates

We've put together a timeline of key dates leading up to graduation. To ensure the day goes well for all involved, please make sure you meet the deadlines given.

There are two very important steps to take as soon as you get your invitation email.

1. Confirm Your Attendance

Thursday 8 May
  • Invitation emails sent to students. When you receive your email, you should use the login details to confirm your attendance. 
  • Ede & Ravenscroft gowning link opens. All graduates must wear a graduation gown and hood - book your gown.
  • Guest Tickets available to book via Eventbrite link in invitation email. Each student is entitled to a maximum of 2 free guest tickets. Students do not need to book a ticket. They will be issued with a graduate ticket at the Registration Desk on Graduation Day. 
Monday 2 June
  • Closing date for confirming your attendance. After this date we cannot guarantee your attendance at the ceremony.
  • The link to hire a graduation gown online will close. However, you can still hire a gown on graduation day from the Ede & Ravenscroft gowning desk.
Thursday 5 June
  • Extra guest tickets may be available to book on Eventbrite.
Thursday 19 June

If you think you are eligible to graduate and not received an email by Mon 12 May please contact graduation@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk

Invites will be sent out via email so please ensure we have up-to-date contact details for you. If you change your email address please let us know - studentrecords@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk 

Social Event 

We love to see your graduation photos and videos, so follow us on social media and share your day using #CoGCGrad. We'll be posting our own photos and videos, so keep an eye on all our social channels. 

Live Stream 

We'll be streaming all ceremonies for students, friends and family unable to join us on the night. The videos will be available on our YouTube channel following the event.

Accessibility at graduation 

If you need adjustments or additional support to help you take part in the graduation ceremony, or if any of your guests need assistance, please contact us as soon as you can - graduation@cityofglasgowcollege.ac.uk. 

Privacy Notice 

Our Privacy Notice explains how personal data will be processed for and during the event and provides guidance should you not wish your data to be processed in this way. This applies to all students intending to graduate or may be eligible for an award, whether they attend a ceremony or not.

Alumni Association

Every student who graduates from City is invited to register for our Alumni Association and join an expanding community.
