Overview
Develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to support others with our Level 5 Mental Health First Aid course. This advanced training is designed to help individuals recognise the early signs of mental health issues, respond appropriately, and guide people towards professional support in both workplace and community settings.
The course focuses on mental health awareness, early intervention, and promoting a positive culture of wellbeing and support.
What You Will Learn
During this Mental Health First Aid training, you will gain practical, real-world skills to:
- Identify common mental health conditions and warning signs.
- Provide initial support and starting conversations.
- Understand the impact of stress, anxiety, and depression.
- Recognise the role of drugs and alcohol in mental health.
- Apply a structured Mental Health First Aid action plan.
- Support mental health in the workplace.
- Respond effectively in a mental health crisis while maintaining safe, non-clinical boundaries.
This 6-hour, full-day Mental Health First Aid course is delivered by an experienced lecturer and includes:
- Engaging presentations.
- Group discussions.
- Practical exercises and scenario-based learning.
- Opportunities to practise key skills in a safe environment.
Candidates must be a minimum of 14 years of age.
