Overview
This is a school college partnership course for school students in S4-S6.
Every business needs to keep records of its finances. Effective accounting procedures can provide timely and relevant information to management, helping organisations perform successfully.
During this introductory qualification, you will gain knowledge and skills in gathering, preparing, presenting and recording management and financial accounting information.
You will develop an understanding of the use and importance of accounting information in making decisions about planning, control and success in an organisation.
You will learn to interpret and analyse accounting information and explore the ethical responsibilities of an accountant.
Studying accountancy will enable you to acquire the transferable skills and knowledge necessary for understanding and taking part in the world of business. This subject helps to improve your personal effectiveness by developing many transferable skills such as problem solving, numeracy, commercial awareness, communication, organisation, financial management, analytical, ICT skills and teamwork.
Attendance Pattern
Tuesday and Thursday (1.30pm – 4pm).

This course suits students who love a challenge, have an eye for detail and are good problem-solvers. Students should have passed three National 5’s, including Mathematics and English.
