Amy McKie
I am a Glasgow-based multidisciplinary designer, working across both digital and analogue mediums. I often merge the two, transforming physical textures, drawings, and experiments into bold, obscure digital compositions. As I near completion of my BA in Design Practice, I’m focusing on expanding my personal projects and engaging with creative opportunities, including open calls, to build a strong and diverse portfolio for future employment.
Advanced Design Project DescriptionÂ
Nightlife across the UK is experiencing a significant decline in venues, driven largely by the cost‑of‑living crisis. Many nightlife businesses are struggling to survive as operational costs rise, and customer numbers fall. “Keep The Lights On” is a charitable campaign designed to support these venues by offering financial assistance and practical guidance to help them stay open. This project presents a concept for how the UK’s nightlife culture can be protected and sustained, aiming to prevent further closures and preserve the social and cultural value these spaces provide.
