I am a Glasgow-based design student inspired by nature, organic forms and the quiet meanings found in everyday life. My practice often begins with tactile, hands-on processes, through which I explore materials, form, depth and structure. I am particularly interested in cultural sustainability and how design can help protect, reinterpret and carry shared traditions into contemporary life. Guided by a human-centred approach, my work is shaped by people, place, memory and everyday rituals. Through ceramics, print, installation and participatory research, I aim to create meaningful design experiences that encourage care, reflection, connection and a sense of belonging.

Project Description

Soup Loop began as an exploration of cultural food and family life. As the research developed, soup became more than a healthy, nourishing meal shared across cultures for thousands of years. It emerged as a symbol of care, mutual support, social connection and a quiet anti-capitalist act within the kitchen. In today’s fast-paced and increasingly fragmented world, the project uses soup to encourage families to return to the table, share food and share life. Through an app concept, reward system, ceramic soup bowls developed through participatory work with children, and printed textile outcomes such as tablecloths and aprons, Soup Loop promotes wellbeing, cultural continuity and more connected communities.
