City of Glasgow College celebrates 10-year partnership with Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics

City of Glasgow College has celebrated the 10th anniversary of its partnership with Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics (ZJTIE) by appointing Carla Gethin, Vice Principal – Corporate Development and Innovation, as a Guest Professor.
To mark the occasion, Carla Gethin delivered a keynote address and lecture to a freshman cohort of 60 students on the Joint Programme in Supply Chain Management. The session highlighted the role of supply chains in the global economy, the skills required for success, and the opportunities for career progression and leadership.
Carla was joined by Jacqui Massie, Interim Associate Director – Business Partnerships. Together with colleagues, they explored opportunities for further strengthening industry collaboration and programme development, including the planned development of two new joint majors: Digital Design and Artificial Intelligence and Digital Supply Chain Management.
Reflecting on the milestone, Carla Gethin said:
“It is an honour to be appointed Guest Professor and to support the next generation of supply chain professionals. Over the past decade, our partnership with ZJTIE has delivered outstanding opportunities for students, and I look forward to building on this strong foundation.”
Since its inception, the collaboration between City of Glasgow College and ZJTIE has created innovative joint programmes that prepare learners with the knowledge, skills, and international outlook needed to thrive in today’s global supply chain sector. More than 300 students have successfully graduated from the joint diploma, progressing into careers and further study both in Zhejiang and internationally.
