“We are delighted that Scottish Enterprise awarded the college this grant to host our inaugural EU Entrepreneurship summit. We value our partnerships across the EU and to have the opportunity to bring them to Glasgow means we will not only learn from our EU counterparts, but we can also showcase the strengths that Scotland has in Entrepreneurship education and support.

We hope that the Summit will strengthen the quality of Entrepreneurship training across our network of partners, enabling the creation of a new generation of young entrepreneurs”.

Roy Gardner, Vice Principal – Corporate Development & Innovation at City of Glasgow College, said:

“At City of Glasgow College, we aim to be a valued partner of both the Glasgow City Innovation District and the Glasgow City region, supporting the national economy, and the international learning community. This successful Scottish Ecosystem Fund 2023-24 means we can further collaborate with our regional, and EU partners, on how Entrepreneurship can be a driver of growth.

Placing students at its heart, the Summit will not only enable a more aligned and relevant approach to delivering Entrepreneurship training, it also provides valuable resources to build the knowledge and capacity of our lecturers and trainers to strengthen the quality of provision in this area.”
