Learning & Teaching Conference 2026

The City of Glasgow College Learning & Teaching Conference 2026 is now fully booked, with colleagues from across the College and the wider tertiary sector set to come together for a day of shared learning, discussion and collaboration.

Taking place at City Campus, the conference will explore the theme Supporting Student Success in a Time of Challenge and Change, focusing on how learning and teaching practice can continue to respond to the changing needs of students in a complex and pressurised educational landscape.

The conference will open with remarks from Paul Little, Principal and Chief Executive of City of Glasgow College, followed by a keynote address from Darren McGarvey. Darren is a Scottish author, broadcaster and social commentator, best known for his award-winning book Poverty Safari, and will bring powerful insight into poverty, inequality and the lived experience that shapes educational journeys.

The programme also includes a panel discussion featuring sector leaders and practitioners, alongside a wide range of parallel sessions, workshops and poster presentations. Together, these sessions will showcase inclusive, innovative and evidence-informed approaches to learning and teaching, with a strong emphasis on partnership, assessment, wellbeing and student experience.
