Lecturer Ashley Rawson Launches First Solo Exhibition at Cass Art
We are thrilled to announce that our very own lecturer, Ashley Rawson, is opening his first solo exhibition at Cass Art in Glasgow from 3rd to 26th December 2025, with a special launch event on 3rd December from 6–8pm. Spanning a lifetime of work, the exhibition brings together some of Ashley’s most beloved creations—from the iconic Glasgow Kiss and Neds to the city’s world-famous Oompa Loompa and Weegie-Birds.
Ashley says, “I’ve stored my original paintings in cupboards around my flat for years but have decided that Glasgow’s 850th Birthday is a good reason to get them out on display!”
Alongside these treasured originals, the exhibition will feature models, street art, and several new pieces created especially for the show, offering a unique opportunity to experience Glasgow’s vibrant art scene through the eyes of one of its most celebrated contemporary artists.
The exhibition is free to attend at Cass Art on Queen Street, and we encourage all staff and students from the Creative Industries Faculty to come along, explore the artwork, and celebrate Ashley’s remarkable contribution to Glasgow’s creative life. Don’t miss the chance to see a lifetime of art come alive in one unforgettable exhibition.
