New catering partnership brings exciting food choices and opportunities to City of Glasgow College

City of Glasgow College is welcoming a new era for catering across its City and Riverside campuses, with Elior becoming the College’s new catering, hospitality and vending partner from 1 August 2026.

The new partnership will bring significant investment into the College’s catering offer, with a focus on enhancing the experience for students, staff and visitors through new food concepts, improved sustainability, digital innovation and opportunities for student development.

Craig Stewart, Divisional Managing Director, Elior UK, said:

“We are delighted to have been chosen to partner with City of Glasgow College and look forward to working closely with colleagues and students to create vibrant, welcoming food spaces that offer quality, value and choice across both campuses. This is a fantastic opportunity to bring great food, innovative concepts and meaningful added value to the College, while supporting its ambitions around sustainability, wellbeing and student success”

Students and staff can look forward to a refreshed range of food options, celebrating flavours from around the world. New concepts include Wildgreen, a fresh plant-forward offering; Beak Street Chicken, serving a range of chicken favourites; and Pizza Foundry, offering handcrafted pizzas with bold flavours.

A variety of street food-inspired concepts will also be introduced throughout the academic year, creating a diverse and evolving dining experience across campus.

The new service will also embrace digital innovation, with food areas featuring screens displaying menus, pricing, special offers and brand content. Digital loyalty schemes will provide customers with a more convenient way to engage with the catering offer, while helping to reduce the need for printed materials.

Supporting student success is at the heart of the partnership, with Elior creating opportunities for student employment, work experience, employability support and skills development. These opportunities will complement the College’s commitment to helping students flourish both inside and outside the classroom.

Sustainability will remain a key priority, with Elior sharing the College’s ambition to reduce environmental impact and support local communities. Planned initiatives include working with local suppliers through Scotland Food & Drink, reducing single-use items through the ‘Ditch the Dispo’ campaign, and redistributing surplus food to local communities.

The partnership follows the conclusion of BaxterStorey’s 10-year relationship with City of Glasgow College. Throughout this time, BaxterStorey supported catering services across both campuses and played an important role in College activities and events.

The College would like to thank BaxterStorey for their commitment, professionalism and contribution over the past decade, and wish them every success for the future.

As Elior joins the College community, students and colleagues will have opportunities to share feedback and help shape the future catering experience across City and Riverside campuses.

City of Glasgow College looks forward to introducing these new developments and continuing to provide a welcoming, sustainable and inclusive campus experience for our students, staff and wider College community.
