Academic Year 2020/21

Academic Year 2020/21

City of Glasgow College is planning to welcome students to their new term on Monday 31 August with the majority of full time courses starting online with some on-campus classes (where it is safe to do so) from Monday 14 September 2020.

Although our classes start slightly later this year, there are lots of induction activities for new students to get involved in from the start of term. You will be introduced to a range of virtual events including meeting your lecturer/s and class members; get to know Glasgow sessions; who to speak to for student support and advice on funding; how to get tech ready; virtual campus tours and much more.

The health and safety of our college community of students, staff and service providers will always be our first priority. The 2020/21 term will introduce a new blended learning and teaching approach with on-campus as well as online classes available for many courses. This follows guidance set out in the Scottish Government’s route map for easing lockdown restrictions while adhering to our commitment to deliver the best student experience possible in a safe and supportive way.

All students will be contacted directly about your chosen course. You should have received your ‘Get Ready for College’ confirmation postcard already and the FAQs below have been produced to answer questions that we can at the moment. Given the rapidly changing nature of COVID-19, we will continue to update these as our plans develop in line with government and expert advice.

Students applying for a 2020/21 course who have further questions should contact our Student Advisors.
