The basic training for Oil, Chemical and Liquefied Gas tanker cargo operations provides basic training for officers or ratings assigned specific duties or responsibilities related to cargo or cargo equipment on oil, chemical or liquefied gas tankers. This training programme is designed in accordance with the revised STCW Code and complies with the latest Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) requirements.
It complies with the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) prerequisites to have your CoC endorsed to work on tankers at operational level or to be issued with CoP for Basic Training for Oil, Chemical and Liquefied Gas Tanker Cargo Operations.
This basic training program will enable learners with skills, understanding and competence required to carry out safe handling, storage and transportation of oil, chemical and liquefied gas cargoes ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements. It will be useful for industry professionals eg. cargo surveyors and personnel involved in oil, chemical and gas terminal operations.
The Advanced training for Oil or Chemical tanker cargo operations provides specialised training for senior officers on board ship - Master, Chief Mate, Officer of Watch, Chief Engineer, or any person working in terminals with immediate responsibility for loading, discharging, care in transit or handling of bulk chemical cargoes. Tanker terminal and ship management personnel will build on previous experience and gain a detailed appreciation of the safety aspects involved in the handling and carriage of chemical cargoes.
This Advanced training programme is designed in accordance with the revised STCW Code and complies with the latest Merchant Navy Training Board (MNTB) requirements. It complies with the prerequisites to have your CoC endorsed or to be issued with CoP for advanced training for chemical or Oil tanker cargo operations by the UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA).
